I weigh roughly 190lbs. , was stepping out of back of my truck and as i stepped to the back of the tailgate to jump to the ground my tailgate collapsed right in the middle ( v-shaped ), well tailgate would go up , but wouldn't latch because it was pulled away from sides. Had to remove inside panel and put a 2x4 in the holes and pry it back up, then hammer down the top plastic cap where the metal pinched up. Found that tailgate is about as cheaply made as a kids toy, it has outside body panel and inside bed panel with stamped out tabs. its a piece of garbage.
