One of the features I loved about my Ford Escape was the automatic door locks, after 5mph or ? they would automatically lock. It stopped doing this, not sure why. I can manually lock them, but not the same.

My real problem with Ford is that any time something needs to be repaired, I have to wait weeks for the damned part to come in. Previously I only owned Hyundais and never once did I have to wait for a part. Ford has the same old song and dance each time - bring the car in, they identify the problem after I've waited for a couple hours, wait a few weeks for the part to come in, leave the car for a whole day for repairs.

Hyundai = drop car off, pick up in a few hours good as new. Serves me right for believing their deceptive commercials about Ford's improved quality. On top of this annoyance, the fit and finish was sub-par. Dash is un-even and you can see it's not lined up on the edges. Many other small issues that contribute to a poorly made car.

Hatch will only unlock 10% of the time. Very frustrating when trying to unlock hatch while walking with hands full of groceries and hatch won't unlock. Only way to resolve the issue was to start engine, shut it off, then open the hatch - - this seemed to "re-set" some sort of electrical issue and the hatch would then open. Took it to the dealer for service and was told that unless the problem happened while at the dealer, they could do nothing for me. I told them if it happened and I drove it to the dealer, the problem would be gone because that is how I resolve the problem - - by starting the vehicle up again. They replaced the hatch button but this did not help. Plus, I noticed that the factory pre-set autolock was not working. I asked the dealer to re-set the autolock for me --- they could not re-set it. We're thinking the two are related and still working on trying to find a fix
