This problem has been going on for a few months, but is progressively getting worse, and involving more of the electrical system. Initially, alternator light would come on after a few minutes of driving. Testing the battery & voltage from the alternator all proved fine (good voltage & no AC component coming from the alternator).

Recently though, things have gotten much worse. Occasionally, you could hear a relay click that would turn alternator light off & disable power steering. A few seconds later, relay would click again and power steering would come back. Alternator light will eventually come back if not immediately. As this scenario goes on, it may progressively cycle more frequently numerous times. On a few occasions, the air bag, traction alert & alternator lights will all come on for a second and the beep is heard. This also will cycle back & forth and may eventually disable the back lights of the information panel entertainment panels. Sometimes, only the outside temperature sensor is not displaying in the entertainment panel. I tried installing another good battery, but the symptoms remain.

I'm afraid that Ford will want to replace all sorts of parts to shotgun the problem. Anyone have some ideas? Thanks!
