Bought it new from Valley Ford in Ohio.

2018 Ford Escape. It has 22 thousands miles on it. The paint peeling around then front window about 10" long , in 2 areas now. We have both extend warranties, but Ford will not cover it, and Valley Ford will not cover.

They said the paint should not be peeling off. We have a 2014 Ford Escape, there's no problem with the paint. I'm going to fill out a complaint today, with Attorney General's office.

I can not believe this 2018 Escape has the paint peeling off by drivers side windshield already. I have always driven Ford Vehicles, and never had problems like this. The car has around 36,000 miles and the other day I come out of grocery store and all the paint is peeling. I am so pissed. It is basically a new car. This is a big spot that is just flaking off. Guess I am going to have to see if it is covered under warranty and go through the hassle of not having a vehicle. Get it together FORD - I probably will never buy a Ford again, after this.

When I purchased the vehicle (Used) in March 2020 (right at the start of the Pandemic and social distancing began), the paint was fine - but within 5 months I began to notice all of these large CHUNKS of white paint just flaking off the right side of the drivers side vehicle. The vehicle, since I had owned it had only been hand washed and treated with TLC. I took it to the nearest Ford Dealership who exclaimed "We've never seen that happen" - which I had already searched the Internet and found 1000's of other Ford Escape complaints (90% happens with all white 2018 Ford Escape owners) - I found the Dealership to be full of it. They stated it was NOT covered under the Warranty still in place and perhaps I DID it to my own vehicle - infuriating!

Ray Seraphin Ford of Vernon, CT and Ford did a great job in helping me.

Although at the time I was also worried it would do it on the other side. Which it did start March,2021, on passenger side.
