Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. While attempting to enter the vehicle, the doors failed to unlock manually and with the key fob. The manual key only opened the driver door and not the passenger doors. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the latches and locked needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V643000 (latches/locks/linkages). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 38,248.
