Most notably owners keep complaining about how there's bad hesitation and jerking when starting from a stop. This isn't the result of an old, worn out part. In fact, the average mileage it's reported to us is just over 15k miles.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that there was a strong vibration and jerking motion while driving at any rate of speed. Autonation Ford marietta (770-674-6077, located at 869 cobb pkwy SE, marietta, ga 30060) indicated that the clutch assembly needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the dealer refused to replace the part under warranty and indicated that the clutch assembly had been previously replaced in mid 2015. The dealer was unable to disclose the details of the repair. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13V523000 (power train). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available.

The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The same dealer was contacted a second time and informed the contact that the clutch failed again and needed to be repaired. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that they could offer him a small compensation. If the contact accepted, the manufacturer would no longer be responsible for anything the contact may experience due to the failure. The contact declined the offer. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 3,400.
