CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?

Ford recall for under hood shift bushing (22S43). Bushing failed leaving me stranded in Hartford CT. Had the car towed by AAA. Contacted three Ford dealerships to make an appointment and none have the part or a seed supply.
The transmission shifter was in the -€œPark-€ position, but my dashboard highlighted the -€œReverse-€ position. Using the Shift-Brake Interlock, I attempted to remedy the problem and now my dashboard reads in the -€œSport-€ position while the shifter can move freely. Luckily I had just gotten off work and parked in my spot at home. No injuries or damage other than the aforementioned transmission issue.
