CarComplaints.com Notes: Here's a disturbing trend for the 2002 Nissan Altima: the engine starts burning oil like crazy, the catalytic converter goes bad, the head gasket blows and eventually the entire engine needs replacement. Sound familiar? Like a script from a horror film, these Altimas seem doomed to fail around 95k miles.

Paint job is literally falling off the car in multiple places. Hood, roof, trunk lid Never had this happen to a car before. Never had to paint a car. Only has 125k miles!
Only solution is complete paint job by someone competent, not Nissan. Dealer does not care. Will never buy a Nissan again, this is my first. I normally own VWs and Fords for 200k miles or more, never had this kind of POS before.
Also burns oil, ruins catalytic converters, and trunk lid won't close correctly.
