Paint chips easily - especially on hood. Above windshield, paint bubbled, became brittle and then popped off. Paint on right passenger door trip (around window) - also just faded, washed off. Lost quite a bit of value when I sold this due to these issues. Friend also had Altima - similar paint issues. FYI - car was garaged most of life,

Altima 2.5S 2.5L 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 6,000 miles

We bought the 2007 Altima 2.5S with the factory installed splash guards to protect the paint from road debris. Since the lower portion of the rear driver door has been chipped away to bare metal, they obviously don't work. Dealer offered no help and did not offer if others had similar issue. Nissan main office advised to contact dealer. And round and round you go. My parent's also bought the same car in a different color and experienced the same issue. I have searched the internet to see if there was a recall, but have not found anything.

Is anyone else having the same issue? I will take some pictures and try to post. The driver side doors have been repainted, and now you can't tell anything was ever done to them, as they are just as bad as before.
