In addition to the new transmission I installed, and the fact that I have to add 2 quarts of oil every 200 miles, the A/C does not work either! What a pain!

Altima 3.5 SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 52,000 miles

This has been a really annoying issue. It started blowing hot air just passed the warranty period. I took it to the dealer and they stated that the ac needed to be recharged, So I recharged it myself and the issue was not resolved. So, I took the vehicle to an honest and reliable repair shop and they found that the issue is with the ac clutch not engaging and the new part was almost $600 with labor the cost is a little over $1000.

This isn't right. I have a 93 Nissan and l have never had an issue with the ac. That tells me that the part in the 08 is not a quality part.

Nissans needs to take care of this issue.

Altima 2.5 S 4 cyl

Well I thought that I was having hot flashes or something. Then I realized the heat was coming from the car. It was coming from the foot vents not the face ones. It was and has been a blast of heat coming out for no reason at all. Ever since I used it just the one time it blows heat. The heat can be off and it still blows. I have to turn my know to cold in order to not get the full blast of heat on my toes! It is a pain! I have to take my car back to Nissan for ANOTHER problem that it is having and I will be sure to address this one also!
