I bought the car brand new with only 163 miles on it. Ever since that first week of owning it, when I would come out of the driveway, or turn to the left backing out, as soon as I would put it in drive the car would skip, that's best way I can describe it. It would make a clunk sound and jump, then it would be fine. After about 70,000 miles it started to do it more often, like 6-7 times a day.
I had taken it to the dealership several times, but they couldn't find anything wrong. Finally the last time I took it they called Nissan North America who told them to look for metal shavings in the transmission pan, sure enough there were, this meant that the transmission was bad. The extended warranty company (not Nissans, darn dealership never told me Nissan had one and sold me their sorry warranty) took 3 weeks to send out an adjuster to look at it and approve the remanufactured transmission, which left me without a car for 29 1/2days! By the way, I'm a small business person who relies on my car to work, so I was also out of work for a month!!!
Well guess what, it's doing it again, and quite frankly I'm not sure what to do. Do I try and get it fixed again, don't know, but I think I am going to start a law suit against the warranty company, car is in the shop again for something else and so far, it's been about a week, paying $30.00 a day for a rental! I will never buy another Nissan, going back to Lincoln. SMH big time!!!!!
