I also had the 2015 Altima (it was killed in a crash...i was not hurt thankfully! which is how i ended up with the 2016 as well) and experienced the very same discomfort with both (the 2015 and the 2016): The headrests on the front seats push the head forward uncomfortably if you try and settle your upper back and shoulders back into the seat. On my first long trip in the car, after 40 minutes i had to stop at a truck stop to buy a neck pillow. Eventually I figured out that if I remove the headrest, turn it around, reinsert it and then use a thick neck pillow attached to the spot where the head rest meets the seat, it is so much more comfortable!

Other than that, I love the car! I have driven nothing but Nissans for the last 17 years and just love them!

DRIVERS SIDE PLAIN CLOTH SEAT IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE, IF YOU PLAN TO DRIVE CAR FOR MORE THAT 1/2 HOUR AT A TIME, YOU WILL HAVE CRAMPS IN THE TOP OF YOUR LEGS WHERE THE TORSO MEETS THE BEND AT THE TOP OF THE LEG. IT HELPS TO PUT A SMALL PILLOW BEHIND MY BACK. SEAT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE NO LUMBAR SUPPORT IT HURTS TO DRIVE FOR VERY LONG.

Altima

We rented the Nissan Altima for a vacation. The passenger seat was the biggest Pain in the back I have ever experienced in my life. The position of the seat would not allow the user to adjust the back portion of the seat up. The entire trip was spent with the back of the butt sitting in a low angle. We drove over 1000 miles and each time getting in and out of the car was almost impossible due to the pain caused from being in an unnatural position. I will never ever rent or buy this vehicle for this issue alone. Most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever been in. I will be seeing a Dr for a pinched nerve post riding in this poorly designed seating arrangement. I did not have the issue prior to being in this car. POOR DESIGN.
