CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 has a small, but significant number of transmission complaints at low mileage. The issue is part of a class-action lawsuit that says the Pathfinder's transmission shakes violently during acceleration between 15mph and 30mph.
This is one of several problems this SUV has. Nissan dealership is baffled on how to fix it and says it is manufacture defect. Filed two different complaints with Nissan themselves, they will not help because it is not under warranty anymore.
Update from Apr 25, 2023: I took the Pathfinder to a mechanic who literally took out he entire dash out of the vehicle. Spent 500 on a part he thought would fix the malfunction. Within 10 minutes, it malfunctioned again and went back to blowing out 90 degree air. Thank goodness the mechanic was honest and told me he could not fix the issue, sent the part back and never charged me anything. I ended up trading it in on a Kia Sorrento, which I have had for 4 years and love! I will never have a nice word to say about Nissan, nor will I ever suggest anyone purchase one. If they had stepped up and at least tried to fix the malfunction, I would have been happy. But to totally disregard me because I had just ran out my warranty was bull. That car had only had 81,000 miles and was bought brand new.
