I have had several issues with this vehicle. The transmission needs to be replaced, catalytic converter is going out. Also, the oil gauge doesn't work.

Xterra X 4.0 V6

We already had the cracked radiator leaking into the transmission problem. The mechanic we used replaced the radiator and flushed and reserviced the transmission. That was about 6 months ago.

Now, starting October 25th, the Service Engine Soon light came on and there is no low gear when starting up from a stop, or any other time low gear is required. Every now and again, it will work, but 99% of the time there is no low gear. all other gears work fine. Acceleration is poor obviously.
