I bought this suv as a used one this year, noticed that if I don't start the car for 5 days, battery dead. I thought the battery might be bad, so I bought a new battery and install it , but did not solve the problem.

OK, enough is enough. This is the fourth time in the past months where I wanted to start my RDX, and I found it had another dead battery. A new battery was put in by Acura dealer some months ago. The RDX was in my garage because of Acura recall air bag problem. I started the RDX once a week for the past three months in hoping that there would not be a problem with a dead battery. However, I was out of the area for eleven days, and when returning I tried to start RDX, and found that I had another dead battery for the fourth time in the past months. Between having to replace two rear shocks since November 2015, a recall for defective air bags where I haven't been able to use my RDX, and now a constant worry about breaking down because of a constant dead battery. It's unacceptable.

Update from Jun 28, 2018: Another dead battery. Waiting with G/Daughter for wife to come out of hair dresser which was 90 minutes. When she came out I tried to start car, and like other six previous time, the battery was dead. Had to call my road service. Road service that I have with GEICO will not put up with these calls, for they will allow only so many. I had Acura Care up to 50,000 miles, and then I had to get my own service. I have a Honda Battery in RDX that was put in by Acura Dealer when RDX was a little over two years old. Boardwalk Acura stated that this was a one time comp, for test showed that btry was good. The Honda btry was put in February 2016. This is my second jump since the btry was installed. The original btry I had to have a jump five times. Acura Dealer stated that the hands free link parasitic drain problem was taken care of years ago. I say "baloney," as I'm a witness that something is draining the life out of the battery. I'm heading back to Pennsylvania to have a new battery installed by Montgomery Acura. I have a coupon from another Acura Dealer from Delaware who has a special 100 month limited warranty for $109.95 installed. Montgomeryville stated that they would accept coupon otherwise I would have to pay 195.00. I can't be the only person who owns the 2nd generation RDX that has this problem. If anyone reading my complaints has a solution please let me know.

Went shopping at a strip mall in Manahawkin NJ. When came out to go home found battery dead as RDX would not start. Had to call road service for a jump. This was the third time in the past few months that this happen. Went to Acura Dealer, and complained. Btry was checked, and was told that battery checked out OK. I complained to dealer that it was un-natural for battery to go dead like it has three times. Dealer put in a new battery, and was told that it was Complimentary one time only.
