I was making a turn and the 2014 Acura RLX fish tailed causing me to loose control, thus running of the road. When I was able to finally stop the car had every light or issue that could be wrong with car was illuminated on the dashboard. It was every light and the car would not go over 25 miles and hour no matter how much I tried to get it to accelerate. It was really scary because I was holding up traffic since I was in single lane road where other cars were not allowed to pass without an accident.

I contacted American Honda Acura at (800) 382-2238, who informed me that the 2014 Acura RLX did not have any recalls or extended warranty issues. The agent then requested the the VIN number for my 2014 Acura RLX and stated they were not aware of any issues or recalls regarding my 2014 Acura RLX. I explained to her that in the repair shop I was told by a gentleman with the same make and model as mine told me something different.

I told her I also went online myself and saw a recall regarding the CMBS or Collision Mitigation Braking System for the 2014 Acura RLX. She told me that only few 2014 Acura RLX had a recall and my VIN number was not included. I continued to ask questions regarding my 2014 Acura RLX and the customer service agent hung up the phone.

Steering abruptly turns rear wheels when car is going straight, usually after a turn. This has happened multiple times when driving at moderate speeds over the last year or so. I thought it was the tires, so I got new tires and it is still happening. It is very scary and now I'm afraid to drive my car on the interstate at high speeds. I believe that this is a serious safety issue and consumers are not being treated fairly by Acura. In my opinion, this is an unsafe vehicle and should be recalled. If unstable abrupt steering of the rear wheels were to occur at high speed in traffic or along winding 2 lane roads, someone could be seriously injured or killed.

Acura knows of the actuator problem and it should be covered under warranty. It is a life safety issue with the car fish tales. They have made several revisions to the actuator part since 2014. They sent out a bulletin (13-041) in 11/27/13 stating they had a problem. Why does the consumer have to pay for a problem that they know about?

Honda/Acura are dropping their standards. Giving me the reason to go back to American made cars just the same way I went to them.

RLX Tech V6

The rear steering on my Acura takes control of itself through PAWS system and causes the car to fishtail as the position of the steering and car is not in synch with rear steering. This causes random acts of fishtail/skidding on the car, needless to say no warnings show and this is a very hazardous situation.

I have created a case with Acura and all they do is take it the dealer and have them diagnose, I took it to one dealer who said alignment needs to be done and they reset any error codes and reprogrammed steering. Fast forward a few days after this "fix", the same exact thing happened... now I have a slow grinding noise from rear right side. This is a life threatening issue. Acura needs to own up to this flaw and stop draining money from diagnostics that aren't being investigated thoroughly.
