While trying to pass on a busy highway I was trying to excel speed get pass semi truck. When out of no where my car loss power and almost caused a huge accident. I wasn't prepared for that, or have heard of such a thing. After researching it seams to be a BMW problem with these cars. I literally just got my car back from my local BMW dealer in charlottsville va same day.spent a lot of money on this car and planned on keeping it for at least another 7 yrs or more. Usually if you maintain your car it will last forever, but guess not if the actual dealer doesn't know how to manufacturer one correctly. This was a car I always wanted BMW is known luxury and sport. Just crazy they do not respect the customers more than they do. I just wanted put my complaint in with everyone else's, seeing there's a lot.

When I start my car it wants to turn off. BMW issued a recall I took it in to fix it but problem still happening. Then my car has 63000 miles and it kicks a lot in first gear. For low miles that should not be happening.

Reference NHTSA campaign: 13V044000 my vehicle has been experiencing issues as exactly outlined in this recall notice such as the starting rough, not starting, battery indicator lamp lit, and other electrical issues. I have experienced a loss of power & degraded performance while driving although it has not resulted in a crash because I was able to safely pull my car over. I spoke with BMW customer relations and they said my VIN was not specified by this recall and to file a complaint with the NHTSA to get this resolved. I have researched many other 2007 3-series owners having similar issues and would expect this to be covered by the recall.

My vehicle did not have a recall on the following items: Hpfp, fuel injectors, wastegate. Failure- long crank, engine malfunction light, engine service soon light, clicking(rattling) coming from bottom of car(waste gate), car lose power on freeway, when rev clicking in the fuel injectors. Please help I have read many people had the same problem and many people were issue a recall. I haven't got one and am 100% positive these three items needs repair. My car is a 2007 BMW 335I and has not been issued the recall for those 3 failures. 89450 mileage please issue one. Thank you I just bought the car as of 5/15/2013 from private owner and noticed the problem till 6/12/2013 and still experiencing these problems daily.

My vehicle displayed a yellow warning that the engine temperature was high, and that the car needed to be driven at moderate speeds because the engine was close to overheating. I decreased my speed from 30mph to 20 mph, and about 30 seconds after driving the car at 25mph a red warning light came on that said my engine was too hot, and the car stalled on me. I received no prior warning regarding an overheating issue. Luckily I was not on a highway and was able to pull to the side of the road. I got my vehicle towed and I was told by the shop that the water pump failed, and that I needed a new thermostat.

Car went into limp mode due to excessive engine temperature detected. Cause of engine overheating was a faulty electric water pump. Dealer replaced the water pump and thermostat.

The thermostat was failing to cool the vehicle under extreme heat conditions (over 100 degree days), took vehicle in to check the thermostat, but it was only a 90 degree day when they looked at the car, and were "unable to reproduce problem", so they returned the vehicle. About 6 months later, I took vehicle in to check the thermostat when the vehicle was unable to warm up under extreme cold conditions (under 30 degree mornings). Again, "unable to reproduce problem" because when the mechanics got to work in the morning, the temperatures were over 40 degrees. Other than extreme conditions, the thermostat seemed to work fine. But the following year, on a cold morning, not only did the vehicle fail to warm up, but the "check engine" light came on. By the time I was able to make an appointment and bring the car in, the light had gone out, and again, the service dept. Was unable to determine what made the "check engine" light come on. They said it must be an "intermittent problem". yes, it was!! and the light came on another time, but I was out of town, so that by the time I got back, again it had gone out. The problem finally got bad enough for the light to come on again, and this time I drove the vehicle directly to the dealership w/O turning it off, so they could determine the problem. They finally confirmed there was indeed a problem with the thermostat, like I had told them all along, and they replaced the thermostat. When I got home and checked the internet, I found many complaints about this same problem with my engine in this model BMW. And BMW has not made a recall to repair the item. This is a known and frequently recurring problem that BMW should be made to pay for &/or reimburse customers for expenses they incurred in fixing the problem, just like the fuel pump and battery problems for this same model vehicle that were fixed under recalls!!

While sitting still at the first incident the car stalled for no reason. Over the next two weeks the car started to run very rough and the service engine light would come on. You could turn it off and restart and it would be fine for a little while, now my engine light stays on all the time and my #3 injector needs replaced. BMW did recall the injectors for the 2008 models, but not my 2007, the cost is my responsibility and many other 2007 owners have had the same problem. I do.have a BMW extended warranty for my fuel pressure regulator, not a recall, but they go bad several times a year. A recall should be extended for the 2007 injectors.

While accelerating on a highway, the car lost power and started to shake. I had to pull off on the shoulder while decelerating while cars around me were honking and driving around to pass me. I was lucky not to have been in a collision. The "engine malfunction" light and "service engine soon" light turned on. After coming to a stop on the side of the road, I turned off the car for a few minutes and restarted it - it drove fine but the "service engine soon" light stayed on. It has happened many times since.

I was driving home on the freeway when all of a sudden car immediately lost power, engine over heating illuminated on my message board. Had to cross two lanes of traffic while speed was decreasing, I thankfully made it to the shoulder. Car would not accelerate past 2mph. Called tow truck and sent to BMW. Car read 62,000 miles, BMW replaced waterpump ($1,600). Vanos sprockets that prematurely fail are a known issue at the BMW service center here in tx mine failed at 63,000 miles ($1900). Passenger mat sensor seat sensor failed at 63,000 miles ($800). A well known issue at the BMW dealership bit they do nothing about it... now my turbo chargers have failed due to waste gate but thankfully BMW extended the warranty to 82,000 miles. This is the worst BMW I have ever purchased never have I had so many problems with the 335I. Advice stay away from the N54 turbo charged bmws. Buy an Audi.

My wife was driving in the left center lane of interstate 384 in manchester ct. The car stalled and she was hit from behind by 3 other vehicles. She suffered back and neck injuries. This is related to the recent recall of bmws for a faulty battery cable. BMW would not acknowledge anything was wrong with the car. We traded the car in because we did not feel it was safe or reliable.

My wife was departing a traffic circle on base here in germany. She accelerated to 35 mph and experienced stalled acceleration as she was traveling down the main road. My wife was stepping on the gas and the car appeared not to be running. She attempted to get the vehicle off to the side of the road as it rolled to a stop. She was stuck in the right hand turn lane on a two lane road and waited for security forces patrolman that stopped and helped push the car out of traffic.

I have owned this 2007 335I for 2 1/2 years. I am a 59 year old female that drives very conservatively. In the 2 1/2 years that I have owned this vehicle, the fuel pump has been replaced twice. Four months ago the injectors had to be replaced and this past Friday the electronic water pump and electronic thermostat had to be replaced. Not typical of any BMW I have owned in the past 12-15 years. I contacted our local BMW dealership and they knew of no problems with this particular model. I contacted BMW today regarding this model and they took the information for review which to me means file 13. BMW knows there is a problem with the water pumps and the thermostats on this particular model and they choose to do nothing about it. They also know there is a problem with the injectors and they choose to do nothing. I was told that the NHTSA makes the determination on all recalls not the individual car makers.

High pressure fuel pump failed on freeway causing immediate loss of 70% of power. Dealership is also saying that fuel injectors are faulty. After looking through different internet websites it seems to be a common problem in early 335I models. Almost crashed because of it.

I have a 2007 BMW 335I coupe with 30000 miles on it. It was revealed in a normal service appointment that there is an issue with that particular models motor ( N54 ). the tolerances of the pulley wheel that supports all the cars systems including the power steering is dangerously close and can rub on the subframe of the car causing the serpentine belt to fail causing all of the cars systems to stop working. This can be particularly dangerous if your in a traffic situation to have all systems fail. BMW recognizes the issue and produced a sib 11 09 08. The local BMW shop global imports and my extended warranty coverage refuse to fix the dangerous situation. The problem is compounded that if the pulley continues to rub on the subframe it can actually cause the motor to drop from the car chasis. An even more dangerous situation. Global imports will fix their know issue for close to $4000. This problem has been documented by many of that models owners. www.N54tech.com/forums/search.php?searchid=722576 there is a website this issue should involve a recall or repair.

The wastegate value arms are loose and they rattle. They may come loose and not work. Which could result in the engine not working. It get worse the longer you drive the car. This is well documented on youtube that all 2007 335I's have this problem. I just feel that BMW should make this a recall.
