I was driving on the highway at around 65-70mph when all of a sudden my sunroof exploded into the vehicle all over me. I swerved as a result of the shock but thankfully was able to regain control of the vehicle before hitting anyone. I was thankfully in the vehicle alone and suffered cuts to my face and scalp. There was no evidence of any cracks on the sunroof and there was no foreign body impact noted. Glass flew into the vehicle as well as gouging the roof and and trunk of the vehicle with glass shards.

Passenger front door actuator failure causing inability to unlock and open the door. Normally with door locked you should be able to do a 'double pull' with door latch to open the door such as in emergency situations. This is a safety issue as you can not open the door.

The driver's door lock cannot be opened manually due a known problem with the electrical door actuator failure. This is a design flaw in a critical component where the driver should be able to open the door in case of an electrical failure or in an emergency when its critical that the driver is able to manually open the door even if there is an electrical failure, battery dies, the car is involved in an accident or the car falls into a body of water - in any of these cases the driver should be able to unlock and open the door manually. The failure of this door actuator also prevents the door to be unlocked and opened manually. I think this is a design flaw and a potential death trap. This has happened many times and there are multiple BMW owners that have complained about this on the internet and to BMW, without any recourse.

My 2014 certified pre-own BMW 535D caught on fire while I was driving home from work last week, fortunately a driver next to me alerted me that my car was on fire. I pulled over within 30 seconds, got out and within another 30 seconds my entire car was engulfed in flames.

Driver side door will not unlock using the inside door handle, effectively trapping the driver inside. Intermittent problem occurs while stationary after engine is stopped and vehicle in park. Took to dealer and it happened in front of service adviser, they informed me nothing is wrong.

The driver's side door will not open with the door handle. The door lock was jammed into the locked position and would not unlock without actuating the electric door unlock system. The door could not be unlocked manually. This has happened several times intermittently. This was reported to the dealer and they informed me this instance has occurred several times to other BMW vehicles.
