This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Car is a 2005 BMW 745I. Driver's side occupant sensor (in seat) has cracked and is causing airbag light to illuminate and as I understand is disabling the driver's side airbag. There is already a recall on the car for the passenger-side sensor cracking, which is a very similar part. Dealership and BMW usa is refusing to assist me, I believe that due to the similarities in nature to the passenger-side seat sensor recall, the drivers-side seat sensor needs to be looked into as well for obvious safety reasons.
