I purchased 2 pirelli rosso tires for the rear of my 2006 BMW 760li. I was driving on I-24W in nashville, tn on the night of 10/24/10. It was pouring down rain and I could not keep my car on the road if I went over 40 mph. When I checked my tires the next morning, I noticed they were completely bald. They are high performance tires, usually lasting 15,000-20,000 miles. These tires only lasted 3,500 miles. I purchased these tires on 09/30/10. I am a 36 year old woman with 2 children. I do not hot-rod my car or drive in excessive speeds. I am the only one who drives my car. I contacted pirelli customer relations in rome, ga. I was treated very rudely by a woman calling herself "sandra". I was only offered 40% off a new set of rear tires. Nevermind that this could be a very dangerous issue with the tire. I clearly believe this is a manufacturer defect. The woman on the other line would not help me. She would not put me through to anyone who could. She hung up on me once and put me through to a strange voicemail another time. She basically told me I could take or leave the 40% and they would not attempt to do anymore. I took my car to discount tire in murfreesboro, tn. They called customer relations and got the same reaction. It's going on 3 days now, and pirelli has not faxed over the 40% discount as promised or attempted to help me in this situation at all. I have searched the internet and asked the woman answering the phone for another number where I might get someone's attention to this matter. She would not hear my complaint.
