The contact owns a 2007 BMW 750li. The contact stated while driving at 10 mph, the brakes failed to engage while the brake pedal was depressed. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to peake BMW (2630 veterans memorial blvd, kenner, la 70062) where it was diagnosed with the brake master cylinder needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The manufacturer notified the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a owns 2007 BMW 750I. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 10V446000 (service brakes, hydraulic: Power assist: Vacuum). The contact stated that he had been in contact with the manufacturer since November 2010 to have the vehicle repaired under the recall however; the part needed for repairs has been unavailable since. The vehicle had not been repaired. The VIN was unavailable. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 35,000.

The contact owns a 2007 BMW 750I. The contact was driving approximately 5 mph in a parking lot and attempting to apply the brakes when they failed to respond. The vehicle continued moving and crashed into a ditch and a tree. The contact was knocked unconscious and was transported to the hospital via helicopter. He was diagnosed with multiple fractures and brain hemorrhaging. The contact sustained memory loss as a result of the crash. The vehicle was found 35 to 40 feet into the ditch and had crashed approximately 5 miles from the main road. The vehicle was destroyed. The insurance company towed the vehicle to a service center. A detailed police report was available. The failure mileage was unknown.
