"SUBJECT DME Fault Code CD8E11. Fault code ""CD8E11 - LIN, message; charging controller for auxiliary battery: Missing"" is currently present in the DME (MEVD172Y) and cannot be cleared. The check engine light (CEL) is NOT illuminated. No customer complaints are associated with this fault, but it is seen when a diagnostic session is run. In certain instances, unnecessary vehicle diagnosis and attempted repairs have been made since the fault is currently present, and seem to indicate a communication problem.
