The contact owns a 2013 (na) BMW Activehybrid 7. while driving at unknown speeds, the tachometer went to zero and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to BMW of sudbury (128 boston post rd, sudbury, MA) where it was diagnosed that the fuel system module, sensors, and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. Additionally, on January 29, 2018, the contact was driving 30 mph and the vehicle jerked. There was also an abnormal thumping noise when the accelerator pedal was released. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 3,000.
