I was using the seat heating on a very cold day recently and 10 minutes into the drive we noticed a weird smell, but couldn-€™t locate the source. As the smell got worse and worse over time, we stopped the car, turned of the interior lights and saw that smoke had accumulated in the cabin, suddenly we found that the seat heater had burned a hole through the leather seat on the rear passenger side, where my girlfriends father sat.
