1. The center air vent on the left (a) is closed. All other air vents on the left side then only blow cold air intothe passenger area.

2. Both center (b) air vents are closed. All other air vents then only blow cold air into the passenger area.
OR
3. The center air vent on the right (c) is closed. All other air vents on the right side then only blow cold airinto the passenger area.
