Summary

Service Power Steering Message Displayed with a Loss of Power Steering Assist and DTC C056E-5A Set Condition Some customers may comment on a Service Power Steering Message displayed with a loss of power steering assist. During diagnosis a technician may find DTC C056E-5A set or stored in the history. Cause This may be due to the Smooth Road Shake Compensation algorithm in the power steering module. Correction Reprogram the power steering control module.
