2012 LaCrosse Touring lll - a great car when functioning. I tried to start my car after a long afternoon of running errands and it was dead. No lights. No dinging noises. I called for a jump. It was not starting, and the conclusion it was battery. Got NEW battery and had to jump it to start. I went home, and the next day went to work no problem. I had to run in grocery store and would not start. I cried and called for another jump we noticed the times prior are getting longer to jump. Took battery back and they said battery checked out fine it was possibly an electric issue. We started the car two or three times and seemed to be fine left and went to fill her up with gas and she did not start.

I had her towed to Buick dealer and the next day called and said it was the main computer ECM quoted me a price of 1000 dollars and they had one left at a different location. From Aug 6th 22 until I received my own part - they never once called me I called every day and was pushed to VM every single time. This is the big Disappointment with GM every dealer that I have encountered has been rude, chauvinist and literally ghosted me as they had my car for three weeks because the part was NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The part ECM 12652814 my niece found re-manufactured on a web site part cost 209.99 and we had it programmed and arrived within 4 business days. I do not know at this time if the part is the problem. I will keep you up to date.

Update from Jan 23, 2023: After being told several times there was no communication with the car and the ECM was not available. I Exchanged plug and play re manufactured E C M myself and she started right up but after two additional starts she did not start again. We left her there so that we could find out if there was now communication. Week and half later was told the ECM was never programmed and still had no communication with the car. At this point I was in total Disappointment mode. A Master mechanic was unable to figure out a mechanical or electrical issue. As I had several men visit the car to see if they could figure the issue out after being told it was the starter by regular men. I waltz into the service department and basically was told they have no idea what they are talking about. Next day I had it towed to my brothers home and two days later it was running with a new starter. I am beside myself with the crap the dealers are throwing out. Crap cars, crap made in china... crap. After sitting around for 3 months I have no cold air blowing from ac... Probably needs some R11?

Update from Jun 5, 2023: The A/C had a leak and had to have refill of gas $$$ but Beauty is back on the streets once again.
