The rims on the vehicle allow air to leak out of the tires. This occurred because of corrosion on the inside of the rims so that the tires were not sealed. When the consumer contacted the tire dealership, they told him that it was a common problem with these rims. The problem first started on 5-2-05. There have been no accidents as of yet. The consumer replaced the tires, but the problem recurred. Consumer was positive that the problem was with the rims.
Goodyear, Eagle ls, P225/60R16, dot unknown, original equipment on a 2000, Buick, ultra with 45000 miles. During brake service mechanic pointed out to him that 3 of 4 tires were delaminating. Left rear tire was in good condition. All 4 tires were replaced.
