The contact owns a 2007 Buick Rainier. The contact stated that when opening or closing the driver side window by depressing the window switch, the window would stop midway up and he would have to manually close it by pulling on the glass. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 12V406000 (visibility:power window devices and controls) however, did not confirm if the vehicle was included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000. The current mileage was approximately 22,500..... updated 02-20-13 the consumer stated the dealer replaced the driver's door regulator. The recall to replace window module had not been completed, yet. Updated 2/21/2013

Drivers door window screeches when lowered, stops half way when raised. Has become worse over the past month. Now I must try helping it by hand while pushing the up button..now I am afraid to lower window for fear of not being able to get it to raise.

The contact owns a 2007 Buick rainer. The contact stated that he received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 12V406000 (visibility:power window devices and controls) and called the to have the vehicle repaired. The dealer stated that the parts were not yet available and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and advised that they were not manufacturing the recall parts for the vehicle. The vehicle was not serviced under the recall. The failure mileage was 76,000. Updated 12/14/12
