The contact owns a 2002 Cadillac Deville. While making a left turn or an abrupt stop, the engine would stall. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The dealer stated that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.
The ignition switch on our 2002 dhs Cadillac went out in April, 2014; mileage 91,000. We live in cove, Oregon. We had to have it towed fro, M our garage 15 miles to legacy Ford in lagrande, Oregon. The total cost was towing $152, ignition switch installation $295.65. Due to the recent recall on ignition switches to so many other GM vehicles it seem reasonable to me that it is possible our Cadillac could be part of this recall. I would appreciate this notification being included in the recall.
