This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
1. driving 2004 Cadillac dhs, in rush hour traffic 7 Jan 06 on Friday, 2. complete brake failure. Only through divine intervention was there not a accident! 3. vehicle was towed to dealer, broken part replaced. Without use of my auto until Tuesday. (note, the GM road service operator made the comment "that usually they talk with relatives of the driver, when this happens because of the results of the failure) I can supply the part number that failed. Just not at this moment. I all so think that this part is used across gms fleet, not just in the Cadillac!
