The contact owns a 2004 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the instrument panel lighting failed. The vehicle was not repaired or diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,276 and the current mileage was 295,527. Updated 8/29/14 the consumer stated the back up warning light indicators would light up and the chime sounded, but there was nothing behind, the vehicle. Updated 09/18/19
: the contact stated after owning the vehicle for 45 days the electrical system failed. All dash board lights completely went out without warning, the door locks opened and closed intermittently. The vehicle has been seen by the dealer a total of 11 times and is currently in the shop. The dealer made undetermined repairs each time and the problem always returns. Speed has never been a factor in the electrical failure, as it occurs at a variety of speeds.
