The contact owns a 2009 Cadillac Escalade hybrid. While driving approximately 30 mph and attempting to engage the brakes, the vehicle failed to stop at a traffic light. The contact had to quickly shift into park and turn the vehicle off in order to stop. The failure recurred four times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
While sitting in the driveway when the truck was running all of the brake fluid leaked out. Replaced the fluid and it leaked out again. Called dealer and they told me to bring it right in no appointment needed. Prior too that there had been occasional problems releasing the parking brake. It was still under warranty it took over a week and was told the brake lines had to be replaced.
