I too am experiencing the premature brake and rotor wear. this is just the first problem i saw on the list - there's many many many more. i would never own another cadillac. there are very few things on this piece of crap car that i bought that i have not had to have fixed.

All 4 brakes and rotors failed at 35K miles and dealer says that this is normal wear and tear. No warning at all until I heard scrapping. I was told by a brake house that the rotors are designed as disposable.

1st GM product I have bought in 18 years due to their lack of quality and it turns out to be the typical GM crap, but will not ever happen again! Now I know why they are going bankrupt!
