The left outside rearview mirror is so large that it blocks my vision of approaching vehicles, pedestrians, and left turns. I noticed it when I first bought my 2005 SRX and thought it was a problem that I'd get use to. I had to invent a special left turn technique. I'd spot the center lane then use my mirror as a pivot point. I have to remember the pedestrian(s) standing there because I cannot see them. However, so far I've been lucky that I have not suffered an altercation. But just last week I stopped at a stop sign and proceeded before yielding to a car that I had not seen. My mirror had blocked my vision so... Luckly the car swerved and I slammed on my breaks.
The mirrors are unnecessarily huge. I see enough in the bottom half. They have too much height.
