The contact owns a 2005 Cadillac Srx. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact heard a loud knocking noise from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they stated that the failure was related to the rear differential. The vehicle was repaired yet the failure recurred two years later. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id numbers: 06V125000 (suspension:rear) and 07V589000 (power train:axle assembly:axle shaft:seal) but the contacts VIN was not included in either recall and the vehicle was not repaired.
