Original battery leaked acid on starter cables. Understand others have also had problems with this. We were lucky and found the problem when the car was parked. Leak was substantial, not minor.

E positive terminal melted away from the case. Consumer was not able to start the car. Took vehicle to a dealer, and they replaced the battery.
