I purchased a 2023 Cadillac XT6.the issue is when I SHIFT into reverse at night the back up camera get very dim and it is very hard to see anything thru the rear display. Cadillac say's it is working as designed..They are correct. I tried this on other Cadillac XT6 car and same issue. There is a safety issue it is VERY dim. I tried a Buick, , and Chevy and they both worked great I could see at night in a dim Garage. All ALL they say is "it is working as designed". This answer does not fix a safety issue that is required to work in ALL cars. It is very hard to see what is behind me. The dealer has seen it and admits there is a design issue. However they can only tell Cadillac that "it is working as designed
I have a Cadillac 2023 XT6 When I put the car in reverse in the daytime the Back up camera display works fine. If it is at night, Raining, or during any hours of the day like in a garage the display dims.It is hard to see a person behind you or any poles. When shifting into Reverse, it is bright then it goes dim. I brought it in to the dealer and they gave me a Chevy loaner and that works great and my last car worked great. The dealer checked everything, Ans I was told "it is working to spec" although they see an issue that they can't fix.
