This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a red fault indicator comes up on the mirror at times. Technician will find Diagnostic Trouble Code 1804 in the Vehicle Communication Interface Module. Technician will need to replace the mirror if the vehicle was built before January 1, 2013. If the vehicle was built after January 1, 2013 reprogram the mirror using Tis2Web.
