For some months the ignition key would give me a hard time to remove it. I would turn the car on and off several times before it would come out. At one point the key just locked into the ignition. I took it to the Chevy dealer I purchased the vehicle at and they said it was due to the battery ports being bad. I doubted this but I am no mechanic so I trusted them. The parts were covered but the work cost $250. It seemed to work. The key came out and I drove the car for one day. Then it happened again. The dealership said they would look at it again but if more work had to be done they would have to charge me for it. I let them know to forget it. I would take my business elsewhere. Why would I reward them for incompetence.

This happens enough to be annoying. When shutting the car off, the key will not go to the "Lock" position, which in turn you can not remove the key. This leaves the car unlocked with the keys in the car, or you can start the car and try again. May have to do this 5 to 10 times or more. Drove to the dealership today and guess what, it did not happen for them. Anyone have a suggestion what to do.
