i CAN'T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED WITH 4 KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 10 IN THE CAR AT 8PM. WHAT A DISASTER. WENT TO SEE SANTA THEN STUCK 20 MILES FROM HOME WITH NO TRANSPORTATION ON THE COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR HERE !!!!IT WAS 18 DEGREES!!!!! WENT BACK THE NEXT DAY AND STILL WONT START. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED AND SAID IT WOULD COST ABOUT 300.00 TO FIX A 13 YEAR OLD CAR AND IT CANT BE REMOVED!!!!!! AND I JUST GOT LAID OFF FROM MY JOB !!!

The problem still isn't fixed. We thought we had fixed it by replacing a module, but now 2 months later, it's doing it again!

Suddenly, my 1997 Cavalier won't start when I turn the key. The engine catches very briefly, then is killed. The Theft System light then starts to flash, & continues to do so even after I remove the key from the ignition. I leave it sit for awhile, & eventually it will start. This does not happen every time, but I don't want it to happen at all! I have read comments online about having to have this thing reset by a Chevy dealer, which I can only imagine would probably cost more than the car is worth! Any ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
