Colorado LT 3.6L V6

Every time I start up my Colorado with the A/C on, a chemical (toxic) smell appears for about 10-15 seconds and then disappears. The smell doesn't appear when I use the heater or just the vent. I made multiple complaints, but it is always hard to reproduce on demand. Some days the smell is worse and then the smell can stop for a couple days.

Colorado LT 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,000 miles

My Colorado has a distinct odor coming from the A/C vent. It starts off fine then after driving for a while and shutting it down and returning to the truck the odor when starting up is horrible! It smells sweet but not in a dead way, I have to roll down the windows for a couple of minutes then it goes away. I've complained to the dealer and of course they found nothing wrong, same story as the transmission. Slip and Slide with power glide (1960"s). Anyone else had this problem?
