This all started on a dam recall. I take it and have the keys fixed. I use them about maybe a week. Than my car starts acting up. The cylinder is use to the old key.
So I was out running my errands. I go to start my car and it turns over but it won't start. It wasn't the battery. It wasn't the fuel pump. I place I had it towed to told me to take it back to GATES Town and Country. It was their problem. So I take it back to Gates Town and Country. Oh, we didn't do anything except put a cap on the keys. So it is no way our problem. 02/12/15 So than they wrote on paper "Customer states times the car will crank and not start. Lock light comes on when you use spare key, anti-lock light kept coming on. Removed ans replaced Passlock Sensor an tested to confirm". That bill was $310.00.
Than I took it back on 02/16/15. Customer states that the key will not turn in the ignition. Since the last service was performed (passlock) found ignition lock cylinder worn. Removed and replace Lock cylinder. $400.68. I feel like I have been taken on this. I have never had any problems until they did the key thing. I didn't feel like this was my problem. I felt this was Chevy problem.
I feel I got taken because I am elderly and I am a female. AND on a fixed income. Also, I thought the recall was fixing that all. Ha, Ha, the joke was on me. The only thing I didn't mine fixing was the spark plugs and the wires. My total bill for it altogether was, bill one. $310.02 and bill two $547.89. (TOTAL) $857.91 minus $147.21. .There was a guy, his name was JD. He had told my son for me to bring the car back in on 02/16/15 and it wouldn't cost me anything. Ya, right, $547.91.
Believe me I will not go back to them for anything. Not even my oil changes. I will take my business else where. And believe me I won't tell anyone else to take their car there either.
