I enjoy my Chevy Traverse but the interior hood latch handle bracket is attached to the front panel which is made of cheap thin plastic. If this braket snaps off the whole panel will have to be replaced. What is dangerous is that the bracket hangs down in front of the emergency brake. The only safe fix per Chevy mechanic is to retro fit brake handle bracket with a peice of solid metal and bolt to solid frame work of panel. Current specs did not take into account of the pulling upward motion to release the hood. Bad engineering on part of Chevy. Bad design flaw. This is what Chevy gets when they use engineerers with no working knowledge/expereince in the auto field. Buyer Beware of the cheap designs!
