I keep getting multiple random engine misfires that there seems to be no solution to fix the problem. The vehicle has been to the dealership several times. Runs for a while and starts acting up again. Stalls out when attempt to take off after coming to a stop or just starts to move and goes real slow, also has trouble getting up hills due to loss of power. Keep getting told it's catiloc converters and have replaced 3 times in last year. Have also replaced spark plugs and coil overs as well as fuel pump, mas airflow sensor, map sensor, oxygen sensors, and a few other things. Seems there is a lot of people with the same issues but no fix....

My 09' Traverse started to shudder intermittently on acceleration and then the service engine light (sel) came on. I had the car diagnosed and the code was a P0302 (misfire cyl). I had the car serviced and repaired by an ase certified mechanic. All coils and spark plugs were replaced along with fuel inj service, performance restore (oil, gaskets, etc). No discrepancies were noted with previous coils/plugs. The car appeared to be fixed. No problems were noted during an 800 mile roundtrip. Then the shuddering returned during normal day driving around town upon acceleration with the sel illuminating. I took the car back into the mechanic, and the code was the same (P0302). After further research by the mechanic, a GM technical bulletin was found (#pip5038B). I've contacted GM customer service and filed a complaint, case # 9-5063655170.

Numerous ac issues, dealer has never been able to repair.now we receive engine code stating the #4 cylinder misfireing. Before we can have it repaired the vehicle just quit. No power from engine, no brakes, all kinds of electrical sensors are giving alerts and car just turns off. Seems to also be affecting cooling fan and steering. Also ever since we purchased the vehicle has made a wierd noise in the front end. Dealer claims it was nothing and after warranty expired we took it in for ac again and was told the front struts were needing to be replaced along with all kinds of ac parts. How come this was never mentioned until warranty expired" I am so tired of getting ripped off with vehicles. Had issues with Ford, Dodge and now GM. Guess its time to try an import"

2/12/2014:car would not start in driveway -towed to jpchevrolet: Control module fuse blown;replaced fuel pump control module -engine started and ran properly per dealership. (all covered under warranty).7/24/14-check engine light on: Timing chain issues gaskets/seals all under warranty.remote lock transmitter stopped working could not reprogram - had to buy new one 0N 1/19/15 at same time asked to check surge of vehicle when drivg 40-45 mph - could not diagnose. On or about 2/15/2015: Check engine light on - next day car would not reverse -again in the driveway -pushed car to road drove to dealership.needed a transmission-only 62780 mi.on car-no choice had to fix and no help from GM in Michigan - "could not help me" car is not even 6 years old -bought in December 2009 and cost $3473.19 to fix. Also again replaced fuel pump after exactly one year - under warranty...... am very unhappy and dissatisfied with this car and feel it is unsafe to drive. GM is aware of transmission problems due to wave plate broken & metal going thruout transmission causing damage which was indicated on my receipts. Lots of problems with 2009 thru 2011 Traverse. Am retired on social security and a pension not exorbitant - bought this car for me and my three young grandchildren and thought this would be my last car to purchase - was I ever wrong......

As we were driving along an on ramp to a highway as we reached 55mph the vehicle was sluggish and would "pull" constantly as we tried to accelerate all the way until we reached 65-70 mph. This started happening more and more frequently even while driving at lower speeds on city streets. Again getting that "pulling" or "bucking" sensation as we tried to accelerate. We took the vehicle to the dealership and they returned it stating they found no error codes and could not duplicate the problem. After another month of the same thing happening almost daily on every commute we took the vehicle in again to the dealership. This time they were able to duplicate the "issue" and said the cause of this problem was the motor mounts which they replaced. This made absolutely no sense and sure enough the vehicle still has the same issue to this very day. 2nd issue is the steering going completely out as you make turns going at slower speeds such as making a left hand turn or turning in to a parking space. As I started making a turn in to a parking space I had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the car next to the empty space I was trying to go into because it felt like the "power steering" went out and could not turn the wheel at all. We have taken the vehicle to the dealership and power steering fluid and pump are working "fine" according to mechanics. I can not believe there has not been a recall on this issue since many Traverse owners have the same problem which is a major safety concern especially when we are talking about not being able to control a vehicle going around 25-30 mph in a parking lot or making turns in front of oncoming traffic (left turns). Please help with these issues.

While driving car started to spit and sputter like not getting enough fuel. Then while turning the air bag light came on and the stability control light come and the check engine light flashed never stayed solid. The check engine light then quit flashing but the air bag light is still on. The stability control light stayed on until I turned the car off, I then turned it back on and the stability control light was not on.
