My car has a recall for the timing chain, I never knew about it, as I am not the first owner of the car, and I never received a notice, when my car engine light came on, I never knew what exactly what it was I ended up changing parts on my car based on a mechanic that didn't know better and didn't change what I need to be change and brought it to another mechanic who told me it was the timing chain, after seeing how much it would cost I didn't have the means at the time, this is about year into getting the car back in 2018, I believe 2020, I know ended up bring it back to another mechanic where they notified me that car had a recall on the timing chain kit, which Chevy never informed be about when I went there looking to buy the parts for my car, also my dealer who I got the car form never inform me of this recall as well as another one I have on the car that I found out when I went recently to see my recalls at Chevy dealer, they also informed me that the recall expired in 2019 and they can't fixed it, which I don't agree with, recalls shouldn't expire its a safety measure. I would really like you help in getting my car fixed and safe to operate with all the recalls. Thank you. Also when I look up my VIN it doesn't show my recalls which is a problem.

"takata recall" while driving on I70 South in the fast lane my 2009 Chevy Traverse started to loose power, lights started flickering, and then ultimately stopped as I was partially in the roadway. State patrol had to come out and move the vehicle and assure my safety of exiting on this very dark interstate. The vehicle would not even start up again. And this was three days following a tune-up w/6 new coil packs, oil change w/filter and flow vent. And all this cost almost $600 bucks because coils are nearly $45 per coil. And all this had to happen because of a constant misfire in all of my cylinders. So I had the truck towed 48 miles home and then 16 miles to the dealer just to be told that this truck has a timing chain recall that was never done. So I was told by the dealership to call che Y corporate office. Lol. Chevrolet told me that the the recall expired and that I would have to pay for the timing chain myself. After 2 years of constant spending. Im done and have been advised to sue. The trooper called to follow up with me because I did almost die on the interstate because my vehicle went completely out and 18 wheelers were going extremely fast. And he provided me with a complete police report to go after Chevy. My two kids now hate the vehicle. My daughter cried all through the 4th of July because of the trauma. And Chevy should not be allowed to sell family vehicles without having a families safety in mind. This was my first Chevy purchase and it will be my last. This is not a company I wish to support. Because it could careless about our lives and safety. I refuse to pay another 2K to repair an issue that had a recall that I didnt know about. #2ndownersclub

The covers for the second row seatbelts seem to have strchech out of it caseing. Main issue the check engine when off and have been having issues with traction control, engine power reduced, misfire of different, oxygen sensor (after getting it replaced about 6 months ago, at Chevy dealer) over $5,000 in different repairs and update and everything seems to still be having issues. Recently the ABS has been going of and was unable to drive it, at least 3 times. Most happen on highway. The engine reduces power and the car feels like being pull back if the gas is release the ABS start going off.

When putting the second row seat back into the seating position (after it was folded flat) part of the plastic on the seat belt buckle receptacle broke off and it no longer works. The buckle can just be pulled out now. There is a recall on this same issue so my vehicle's year, but Chevrolet said my vehicle isn't included.

While driving the vehicle slipped out of drive and by the time I got home reverse was gone. I took it to the dealership, sunshine Chevy in asheville nc, and it was only one month out of warranty. They tried to sell me a new transmission for $6,000 then after much fighting only charged a warranty deductable (never heard of such a thing) of $500. It has been five months and this new transmission is now doing the same thing! this car is a death trap. It rolls backwards when it is in drive, they have since claimed it is a design flaw and not covered under any warranty. It is like driving a straight drive, you have to keep your foot on the brake until you accelerate. I live in the mountains and it is a huge problem. There is also an seat belt recall that they have not fixed yet. I have had it in for a timing chain recall, and air bags, plus three others since purchasing this vehicle. I was told when I purchased this vehicle it had 10 years on the power train, is the transmission not a part of that" I have over 25 complaints for this same transmission issue and I am gathering more. How do we get this vehicle recalled"

The first problem is that the second row, middle seat belt gets stuck after putting the row down flat. You have to put the row up and down a few times for it to start working. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. I read about recalls on the model of my vehicle and this issue is listed as one of the recalls. Chevrolet and GM insist that my "VIN#" is not listed under the recalls, so it has to be diagnosed and dealt with as a normal problem. This is listed as a safety hazard with the recall because it may not restrain as it should, god forbid, during an accident. The second problem is there is a leak in the cargo hold. Whenever it rains, (a little or a lot, it doesn't matter) water pools in the cargo hold. This is a safety hazard because now the vehicle smells of mold. There are many other problems as well. There is a problem with one of the tire sensors, the car shakes and the check engine light is on.

We have a 2009 Chevy Traverse 8 passenger vehicle - the center row seat belts are the most poor design imaginable. They put the center seat belt buckle as a rigid outlet in the middle of the center seat. We have two car seats in our car & due to foster care need to be able to put in a booster seat in the middle - the car will not accept a booster seat because of the poor design. It is shocking that Chevy did not put in a belt based seat belt here instead! I have seen a lot of people complaining about this & it really needs to be addressed by Chevy!
