The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that the tailgate, when opened, would automatically close without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed and the dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 7,300.
The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. While the vehicle was parked, the key fob was utilized to open the rear liftgate. When the contact reached inside the vehicle, the liftgate fell on her neck. The contact did not go to the hospital. However. She went to the doctor a couple of days later. Because a lump formed on her neck, which turned out to be a dislocated collar bone that required surgery. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000. Updated 08/17/16
