The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that the steering wheel seized while parking the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. Also, when making turns or changing lanes, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the electrical steering system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was later taken to ferman Chevrolet of tampa (located at 9751 E adamo dr, tampa, fl 33619, (813) 623-2411), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened case number: 8-4636845588. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

While turning my vehicle the steering wheel becomes very hard and sometimes impossible to turn. There is nothing wrong with the power steering pump and there are no leaks in the line. It is an ongoing problem.

My power steering stopped working while driving, I managed to get to the side of the road and shut the vehicle off. I turned back on and power steering was back. The following day I took it to the shop and they told me to take it to the dealer because the power steering pump was leaking and should be under warranty. Unfortunately the dealer told me it was not under warranty and I had to have it replaced. I paid for the repair and now just a few weeks later the same thing is happening. I have the vehicle scheduled to go into the shop again on Monday.
