The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The calipers on her brakes have been failing for over two years. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the technicians could not identify the cause of the failure. However the dealer would always resurface the brakes and turn the rotors. A certified mechanic finally concluded that the caliper was grabbing the wheels, and that the rotors did not have to be turned. She took the vehicle back to the dealer, but they wanted to charge her $40 to perform a diagnostic test on the brakes again. The manufacturer was notified, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 40,000 to 45,0000.
