The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the speedometer needle fluctuated abnormally. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Also, the contact stated that while driving at 25 mph during inclement weather, she lost control of the vehicle and the steering wheel began turning left and right independently. The contact depressed the brake pedal and as a result, the vehicle spun to the side bank of the highway. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V567000 (electrical system) however, the part needed to do the repair was unavailable. The failure mileage was 60,000.
